Most people picture "AI search" as one thing: you ask a question, the AI gives an answer. But there is no single AI answer. ChatGPT, Google Gemini and Perplexity are three different systems, and when you ask them the same buying question, they often name different brands and link different sources. For a brand trying to be found, that difference is the whole game.

The assumption that quietly costs you

It is natural to check ChatGPT, see your brand mentioned, and assume you are doing fine in AI search. The problem is that ChatGPT is roughly one third of the picture.
